refried beans
16 oz, any brand works great

sour cream
preferably full-fat for best texture

packet
taco seasoning
use mild if needed

cream cheese
softened
Cheese & Add-ins

cheddar cheese
shredded, divided

diced jalapeños
optional, for some heat

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Let cream cheese soften on the counter for easier mixing.
In a medium bowl, combine refried beans, sour cream, softened cream cheese, and taco seasoning. Stir until fully blended and smooth.
Mix in half of the shredded cheddar cheese to ensure every scoop is cheesy.
Fold in diced jalapeños if using, for an added spicy kick.
Transfer mixture to a baking dish (9x9 inch works well). Sprinkle remaining cheddar evenly over the top.
Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and the edges are bubbling.
Remove from oven carefully and allow to cool slightly before serving with Fritos or chips of choice.
Notes
Customize it your way – skip the jalapeños for a milder version or try different cheeses for fun flavor twists.
